Chapter 6 Making A Decision For Genetown
Project
I am not in favour in the
$150 million biomedicine facility because it is too expensive; it would be
better to put the money towards other type of technologies.
They should use an existing
facility somewhere else. I understand if they used that money towards something
more important than a big building so they can save human lives, which is
really important. I agree with the curing with the stem cells, because stem
cells are a lot of different types of cells and that is what you need to cure
hurt embryos. If there are different types of cells then it will have all the
parts it needs, which will be in the cells. The cells will form the body and
have the body living, but you would need well working stem cells, and powerful
technology. If they use there money to make technologies then everything will
be better and they can find more ways to cure them easier.
So my opinion will be no, but
I agree with stem cells. The only thing with stem cells is, if you build you
need technologies that will cure them better, and easier, which will be less of
a risk. The stem cells might not function or develop to cure an embryo so with
more efficient tools it will do so. If they find more research then they can
cure embryos more efficiently and even more diseases like cancer, so there
won’t be lots bad things and dying all around the world.
That is the way I agree if
they put there money towards technologies and research harder so they can find
cures and stop these injuries from coming to humans.
